About this program
Communication with key stakeholders including residents and their representatives, staff, volunteers and contractors is key to the successful operations of a residential aged care facility. People's expectations regarding timely communication have changed with the evolution of new technologies such as mobile telephones.
Our organisation has a commitment to timely and productive communication with key stakeholders and therefore explored options to utilise available technology to improve communication with stake holders.
Working with an app development company which specialised in school communication we modified the product to suit the aged care environment. Through the use of an app there are no limitations to the number of family and friends of residents who can choose to receive information about the facility and what is happening on a day to day basis. Being an app as opposed to email or other older technologies we are able to provide real time information to key stakeholders ensuring access to information is timely and consistent for all.
