Establishing MyHUB, an integrated workspace required to aid the flow of internal business processes and allow for communication between departments and its internal functions and data sets.

The definition of innovation from a business perspective is: a deliberate application of information, imagination and initiative in deriving greater or different values from resources, and includes all processes by which new ideas generated and converted into useful products - The MyHUB by this definition embodies this.
Early 2015 the Board of Directors instructed the Quality and Risk Committee to review the organisations Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and other peripheral software systems for relevancy and currency.
Following a three-month review of existing software platforms, the Quality and Risk Committee reported to the Board that the current ERP software was disparent and would not service future growth. Furthermore, the Committee identified that the ERP required a growing number of pivot tables and Excel spread sheets running reports that had become the front end of the ERP.
After a 12-month process of researching for a modern ERP and HRIS, the Committee informed the board that to replace the existing system would cost the organisation $1.8 million with an annual subscription fee of $300K.
The Board choose the bold move to invest $300K in Research and Development in creating a cloud-based platform leveraging the existing ERP SQL database (DB) that would become the ‘MyHUB’.
MyHUB was required to aid the flow of internal business processes and allow for communication between an organisations departments and its internal functions and data sets.
Following the establishment of a project team work began on MyHUB in February 2016.
The team identified solutions that needed inclusion within proposed platform;
• A Document repository containing Policy and Procedures,
• Clinical Business Intelligence that provides improved outcomes in resident care.
• Quality and Safety that includes a Continuous Improvement Plan, Comments and complaints register, Hazard and Employee incident register,
• A Human Resources Information System that includes;
• A self-service module, and
• A compliance piece that automatically monitors Right to Work and Police Clearances.
• Additionally, a MyHUB messenger service that connects all employees with no 'cost per user.'
One year later the small investment has become a business critical solution surpassing expectations saving the company well over $1.8 million.
Employee adoption and engagement of MyHUB has exceeded expectations with 2779 unique users logging on and 175K MyHUB pages accessed across the organisation since the first version release in May 2016.
The MyHUB is scalable, transferable, intuitive and robust. It has become the front end of the business and strategic management tailor-made to meet the needs of the organisation.
